Consultant business opportunities

Consultant file for architectural and engineering services

The University uses the Washington State Department of Enterprises Services (DES) A/E Reference File (the File) for selection of the most qualified consultants for some individual projects where the total project cost (design, construction, and other costs) is less than $5 million.  Firms interested in these projects should apply for inclusion in the File by filing Architect-Engineer Qualifications (Form 330), or should update their information already on file to reflect the type of work for which the UW will be selecting consultants.  Firms interested in working on University projects must provide additional information in Part I, Section H of Form 330 addressing the following topics: the firm's approach to managing subconsultants, budget and schedules, permitting knowledge, sustainability design experience, and the firm's QA/QC program.

Firms may submit a Form 330 to the File at any time during the year.

Firms should click on the following link for additional information regarding the University's specific requirements:

2019 Annual Advertisement for A/E Qualifications

For projects exceeding $5 million, the UW will solicit qualifications for the project in an advertisement in the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce.  Firms do not need to be included on the Shared Procurement Portal Roster in order to respond to project specific advertisements for qualifications.
