Foster School Expansion

Project news

The project is being implemented using the Integrated Design/Build (D/B) delivery method and the selection process for the D/B Team was completed in August with the selection of Hoffman Construction and LMN Architects. The final selection was based upon evaluation of the RFP's submitted by the three finalist, office visits with each team, and the recommendation of the University of Washington Architectural Commission on August 8, 2018. Contract negotiations are proceeding, to be followed by the start of the Project Definition and Preconstruction Phases of the project.

Project overview

The project will design and construct a new 96,000 square foot building to replace Mackenzie Hall. The program will be a mix of instructional, academic and administrative spaces and include classrooms, offices, team and meeting rooms, and large common areas. The new facility will house the Foster School PhD program, the Undergraduate Program Office and Career Center, the Sales Program, the Center for Leadership and Strategic Thinking, the Sales and Marketing Center, and the Foster School Advancement and Marketing teams.
