Requests for Qualifications - Requests for Proposals

RFQs and RFPs are advertised in the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce newspaper and can be found in the Current Advertisements box on the right.  Any addenda issued will be noted as well.  The University strongly encourages minority business enterprises (MBEs), women’s business enterprises (WBEs), and small businesses to submit qualifications or proposals, or to participate as sub-consultants on University contracts.

You can find Current Advertisements on the right.  Use the RSS feed on the right to receive immediate notification of new Advertisements and Addenda.

Consultant File for Architectural and Engineering Services

The University uses the Washington State Department of Enterprises Services (DES) A/E Reference File (the File) for selection of the most qualified consultants for some individual projects where the total project cost (design, construction, and other costs) is less than $5 million.  Firms interested in these projects valued at less than $5 million dollars should apply for inclusion in the File by filing a 330 Form or should update their information already on file to reflect the type of work for which the UW will be selecting consultants.  Firms interested in working on University projects must provide additional information in Part I, Section H of the 330 Form addressing the following topics: the firm's approach to managing subconsultants, budget and schedules, permitting knowledge, sustainability design experience, and the firm's QA/QC program.

Firms may submit a 330 Form to the File at any time during the year.

Firms should click on the following link for additional information regarding the University's specific requirements:

2018 Annual Advertisement for A/E Qualifications

For projects exceeding $5 million, the UW will solicit qualifications for the project in an advertisement in the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce.  Firms do not need to be included on the Shared Procurement Portal Roster in order to respond to project specific advertisements for qualifications.
